Anger Management Expert - Dr. Becourtney's Biography
Dr. Lyle Becourtney, a licensed psychologist
and certified anger management professional,
specializes in anger management for teens and
adults. For years, he has been serving the
community by offering a variety of innovative
anger management programs to those living
in Rockland, Bergen, and Westchester
counties as well as those residing a little further
away in Putnam, Orange, Passaic, Bronx,
and Queens counties.
In 1996, Dr. Becourtney obtained his doctorate
degree in psychology from Pace University. As
part of his training, he completed an externship
in the adolescent partial hospitalization program
at Metropolitan Hospital and an internship at the
Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, both
located in New York City.
Thereafter, Dr. Becourtney worked in an
adolescent residential treatment center in
Yonkers, NY, at Great Neck North High School,
and since 1999 at Northern Highlands Regional
High School in Allendale, New Jersey.
Over the course of his career, while working in
both clinical and school settings, Dr. Becourtney
has treated a multitude of clients who have
difficulty managing their anger. Through his
innovative program, Dr. Becourtney continues
to help many teens and adults significantly
improve their anger management skills.
Out of his private office in Blauvelt, New York,
Dr. Becourtney runs weekly groups for teens
and adults and also sees clients individually and
as couples. In addition, Dr. Becourtney has
made a number of speaking engagements
including a recent appearance on live TV on the
Nancy Grace Show on CNN Headline News.
